I am writing to express my disappointment in your air con maintenance team.

I called up for them to check my air con which was not cold and the team came to check it out last Tuesday- 11 August. They said it just needed to be cleaned. Air con was still not cold but thought to wait it out and let it run a little as the villa had been empty for a couple of weeks.

Called again and team came on Saturday, 15 August and told me that the compressor and several other parts needed fixing.

1. Surely if they did a thorough check on Tuesday, this could have been spotted
2. When questioned, the supervisor attending told me that the air con has many parts- now why couldn't they check all these many parts the first time round when they came?

Anyhow, fastforward- quote accepted and appointment booked for the three hour job. Team came yesterday, said they had to leave for a bit, left and never came back.

I called back and was told that we did not have a safety plate and hence, they could not do the job.

Question:
- While I appreciate the safetly aspect- could the team have not identified this from their first two visits and let us know plus then take the initiative to have this added onto the quote and bring all equipment necessary to get the job done?

I have called up again, accepted both quotes and am waiting to hear back for an appointment.

I do hope this will be the 4th time lucky and your team have now had the time to get their act together and complete this job.

Getting things right the first time saves both your company and the customer time. Being proactive to do thorough checks and identifying requirements is also essential.

I hope you will seriously look into this problem.
